At a time when the likes of Salman Khan is picking realistic and emotional films like Bajrangi Baijan, an Airlift for Akshay Kumar and Dangal for Aamir Khan, really SRK got behind with movies like Dilwale and other routine masala. But in Raees, he has done a honest Gujrati liquor trading gang kingpin who gets encountered in the end. Accepting that killing scene is really terrific and indicator that he's coming out of the closet.
For now, Raees is doing very well at box office.
