The trend has been caught up in South also. Telugu filmmakers have already started exploring it and 'Mahanati' became a super hit already. A few other biopics are on the sets. Now, Kannada filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh is in preparations to make the biopic on actress Shakeela who rocked the Malayalam industry with her soft-porn films a few years ago. The pre-production has been going on for a while and the latest update reveals that the regular shoot will commence from August.
