Update: 2018-03-08 11:30 GMT
These days, casting couch and sexual harassment on the sets and during filmmaking by various producers has become a talking point.

Many celebrities lost their face due to this and fans are unable to get good sleep as everyday someone or the other is being exposed.

During such times, women need to be very strong and united. Same thing is echoed by Shivani Singh, Vijay Devarakonda's Ye Mantram Vesave, cinema heroine.

She said, "I worked in many ads, modeling assignments and also, anchored a program in NDTV Prime. I know the stories of young women who are at times forced to sleep with several bigwigs in the company and in the entertainment industry, for chances.

"I always strictly maintained my composer and never reacted in favour of such proposals. I know few males in India are turning into sex addicts. To all of them, I need to appeal that they should see women as their own family members and not treat like sex objects.

"After Nirbhaya kind of incidents, I used to carry knife in my purse. Any physical advanced from any person, I used to tell to their face, that I am not such person and there the matter ended. Once we, women find a strong voice, people will stop looking at us like that. I do sympathise with women, as at times, they are left with no option, but united we can fight this," said the actress.

Ye Mantram Vesave is releasing on 9th March in two Telugu states.
