Update: 2017-08-19 08:37 GMT
Baahubali franchise has been the biggest success story of any franchise in India. The films directed by SS. Rajamouli have become so popular with the masses that the franchise is now, being called as India's very own Star Wars. Many of the technicians that and cast members that worked for this movie are now, doing other projects but the producers, Shobhu Yarlagadda and Devineni Prasad have not announced any new project yet.

So, the entire Film Fraternity is taking about them and few people are also saying that they could be third party funders to some production houses. Shobhu Yarlagadda, one of the producers talked cleared the confusion on an International stage recently. Talking about the topic, 'Folklore to Celluloid' in a lecture at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Shobu said, " We did not start Baahubali thinking we need to make a folklore of that magnitude. We happened to like the story and after thinking about the pros and cons, we went into the production." He also said, " Soon, we will start a mini Television series revolving around Raja Matha, Sivagami and the book, the Rise of Sivagami will be an inspiration for that. All the characters in Baahubali will be in the series and this is will be a huge action set piece like Baahubali but on TV. We will show the childhood of Sivagami and her rise to the top level in Mahishmathi."

The actors who will play the characters will be entirely different in the series. Already, a Television series is being telecasted in Hindi, taking the inspiration of Devasena's character. Vijayendra Prasad who wrote the original characters gave story to the series. We still do not know the entire details about who will write and direct the TV series to produced by Baahubali producers. Stay Tuned to this space, we will bring to you all the latest updates as we get to know!
