Television Actress Shruti Ulfat was taken into custody by the Thane Forest Department in Mumbai Yesterday for posing with a cobra and sharing the pictures/video online. She, however, was granted bail on a bond of Rs 5,000 after being produced before the court.
Actually, Shruti shared the pics and video of herself posing fearlessly with a Cobra on Instagram & Twitter in October last year while she was shooting for TV Serial 'Nagarjuna - Ek Yodha'. These posts went viral and netizens began showing praises on the Actress for her brave attempt.
Wildlife Activists, on the other hand, found the act objectionable. They accused Shruti Ulfat of trying to earn good returns using the endangered species. But, Shruti's Lawyer Sunny Punamiya maintained Shruti has done so only to promote her TV Serial on the Social Media.
