The stage is set for an interesting fight at the Tamil Nadu box office for Sankranthi. Everyone expected that no other film would be released to compete with the highly anticipated Vijay's 'Master' but to everyone's surprise, Simbu announced that his film, Easwaran is entering the Sankranthi race. The government of Tamil Nadu, on Monday, allowed theatres in the state to open with 100 per cent capacity.
Ahead of the movie release, Silambarasan has requested his fans to watch Vijay's Master. Easwaran will be released on January 14 while Master will release on the previous day.
Simbu has penned an open letter to fans in which he requested his fans to watch Master in theatre and also invited Vijay fans to watch Easwaran in theatres. He continued that let the two movies make way for fans to come to the big screens and thus bringing in profit to the producers, distributors, and theatre owners.
Easwaran is directed by Susienthiran. It stars Simbu Nidhi Agarwal and Nanditha Shwetha in the lead roles. The film has music by S Thaman.
Master is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj will release on January 13. The film has a stellar cast such as Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Andrea Jeremiah.
