Syndicates Getting A Hold On Theatres Across Telugu States!

Update: 2020-05-18 12:50 GMT
There are a lot of accusations from small filmmakers about big producers and exhibitors forming into syndicates and having a major chunk of the theatres in their grip. Many reported that this cartel is not allowing their films to get a proper release. It looks like the worst is yet to come.

The theatres were shut down from the last two months and there is no chance to opening them anytime soon as Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Telangana Cinematography recently stated that the government has no plans of opening the theatres for the next 2-3 months.

This is going to be a very tough time for single screens who are not under anyone's hold as they have to fight for survival without government's aid and things will be hard even after the reopening as they are supposed to run with only 50% occupancy.

These theatres are reportedly having no choice but to down to these syndicates or step away from this business.
