SJ Suryah is a director who turned into an actor. For Telugu movie lovers, he will always remain the director who gave Khushi. But he decided to give his passion acting a chance and that is working in his favour these days. He made a movie, Isai in his own direction in Tamil to prove himself as a box office actor after making Nani as New. Still, he could not really get a star status or a name as an actor until he performed in Iraivi. Still, Telugu audience had their doubts when he is selected to play the villain in a Mahesh Babu film.

As he is most known as a director of three big films of the big stars thinking about him as an actor became highly difficult too. But he surprised everyone with his performance as a Psycho in Spyder. Ever since the movie released yesterday, many of the common audience and social media have been going gaga over his performance.

He suited the character really well. The scene where he is introduced before the interval, he looked completely menacing and challenged the Spy skills of the hero at every moment with his own puzzles. More than just his performance, the believable back story also helped the character to grow on the audience. His performance gave a new villain to Telugu Cinema and as far as Tamil people go, for them it is SJ Suryah, the actor doing what he does at best. They are not as surprised as Telugu people. But SJS, as he popular referred to, seems to be settling down as a good antagonist in South Cinema as he will be the bad guy of Mersal, starring Vijay too.
