Small films in November broke backbones of US distributors!

Telugu Films haven't seen much progress in market expansion after Baahubali and Dear Comrade, Saaho, Sye Raa ended up being bigger lessons than anyone expected.

But the dying US market further plummeted to an abyss of non-recovery in November month. Small and medium films are backbone of any market but US distributors found them to be their undoing.

Meeku Mathrame Cheptha, Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL, Raaja Vaaru Raani Gaaru, Tippara Meesam were expected to do well in USA.

RVRG released on 29th November to correspond with Thanksgiving Holiday weekend but that strategy did not work for US distributors.

Arjun Suravaram due to delays lost most of the buzz in USA and review ratings received for any one of these films is not above 3 or 3.5, which would guarantee at least decent amount of crowds at the theatres.

Many US distributors have shut shop due to losses and only big players who have invested big on biggies are eagerly waiting for December to give some relief to a bad year.

Well, 2019 has been a bad year for film distributors in US and Telugu states too. They are hoping for a loss less end, so that they can prepare for 2020.

Many young distributors, that is, people who are relatively new, are making investment plans for future and waiting to see if the market situation changes for them to re-enter.
