National Award-winning singer Sonu Nigam, who has crooned over a hundred songs in eight languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada recently got hospitalized due to severe sea-food allergy.

Now, he shared some photos of himself from the hospital. Sadly, he got an allergic reaction just a day before his concert trip to Odisha's Jeypore. The 45-year-old singer shared his experience on social media on Monday. Sonu Nigam said he faced difficulty in breathing and his left eye got swollen because of the serious allergic reaction. He added that his condition would have gone worse if there was no hospital around for medical emergencies. However, he recovered in time and thanked his fans. "Thanks for your concern and love. Now that you know that I am returning back from Jeypore, Orissa after managing a concert last night, I now don't mind sharing how I was the day before yesterday," captioned Sonu Nigam.

"Lesson for all of us, never ever ever, ever take a chance with allergies. Seafood in my case. If Nanavati Hospital wasn't nearby, my trachea would have swollen up further and lead to asphyxiation. Happy and Healthy life to everyone," added Sonu and thanked the doctors as well.
