Sonu Sood to set up oxygen plants in Nellore and Kurnool, that will be operational from June!
The Superman of India, Sonu Sood, continues to help Covid patients and those who are in need. The actor who helped people struck in various places to reach their native places during the first wave of Covid is now helping hospitals and patients with medical oxygen.
As the shortage of medical oxygen is the burning issue in the country now, the actor had pledged to bring oxygen plants from France which will be set up in few states that were severely affected by the Covid outbreak.
Sonu Sood took to Twitter to share the happy news that the first installment of oxygen plants will be set up in the Kurnool and Nellore cities of Andhra Pradesh. The oxygen plants will be operational from June this year.
"Very happy to announce that the first set of my oxygen plants will be set up at Kurnool Government Hospital and one at District Hospital, Atmakur, Nellore, AP in the month of June! This would be followed by setting more plants in the other needy states! Time to support rural India," his tweet reads.
"This is the need of the hour to improve the health care, especially in the rural areas. I feel these plants will help the needy people to fight Covid -19 bravely. After Andhra Pradesh, we will be setting few more plants in few more other states between June & July. Right now, we are identifying the needy hospitals of various states," Sonu Sood said in a statement.
The actor has been arranging oxygen concentrators and other necessary equipment for Covid patients as India battles the second wave of the pandemic. He also regularly communicates with netizens reaching out to him on Twitter and other platforms seeking oxygen and other necessities.
Using the social media platforms as a big venue, Sonu Sood has been helping Covid patients and their family members get vital medicines like Remdesivir, other medicines, medical oxygen, and other required facilities.

Seeing his popularity some fraudsters are using his name for free money. Incidents of fraudsters seeking money as donations online came to his notice. Reacting to this, Sonu Sood urged everyone to not fall into the trap and said, his service is free.
