With 'RRR' fever slowly coming down, the movie buffs are gearing up for the next big release this summer. Rocking star Yash is arriving on 14th April with his pan-Indian project 'KGF Chapter - 2'. Directed by Prasanth Neel, this film is arriving with a lot of expectations. The trailer looked fantastic and the two songs which came out till date got a very good response too.
As we know, a lot of Telugu audiences are waiting for this film. They immensely liked the first part and they are hoping that the second chapter will reach their expectations too. The theatrical business of 'KGF Chapter - 2' in the Telugu states went for more than 100 crores. If it achieves this figure, it will turn out to be the first non-Telugu movie to get 100 crores. The first part collected 18-20 crores and the second chapter should get nearly 10 times of it to enter the safe zone.
The latest reports suggest that the makers have requested special permission for hiking the ticket rates. This high-budget action drama is expected to get the required permission from both the Telugu states within a day or two. The makers are waiting for the permission to be granted and sources say that the advance bookings will be opened with new rates from Monday. This will definitely help in boosting the collections. It is a bit interesting as the AP government did not give special permission to a certain Telugu film but they are reportedly ready to allow a hike in ticket rates for a dubbing film.
'KGF - 2' is a continuation of the first part and it is set in Kolar Gold Fields. This is a pan-Indian film that is releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. It is produced by Hombale Films and it features Bollywood actors Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. 'KGF' is the film that put the Kannada film industry on the Indian map. The stupendous taking of Prasanth Neel and the rugged look of Yash took the audience by surprise and it got good collections in Telugu and Hindi markets too. The second part is expected to create wonders at the box office.
This film is going to compete with 'Beast' starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde. Nelson Dilipkumar is the director while Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer. It is also releasing on the 14th of April and Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' will also arrive on the same day in North India.
