Sreesanth resents recalling his spat with Harbhajan

Fast bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth Friday cleared his view on the slapping controversy involving him and Harbhajan Singh, tweeting that he was not at fault and "Bhajji" hit him out of anger.

Sreesanth's Twitter rant comes a day after an ugly spat between Gautam Gambhir and his Delhi colleague Virat Kohli during an Indian Premier League game in Bangalore was compared to the infamous incident in the tournament's inaugural edition in 2008.

"Just read times of india sports page headlines...very very disappointing...yesterday's incident with Gautam Bhai and Virat ...was compared ??? To me and Bhajji pa?? written again about slap gate???? enough of this s#%^t..Stop it.. I can't keep silent Anymore," Sreesanth posted earlier in the day.

The 'slapgate' happened when Sreesanth played for Kings XI Punjab and Harbhajan captained the Mumbai Indians. Subsequently, the off-spinner was banned for remainder of the tournament.

After Sreesanth's tweet, Justice (retd) Sudhir Nanavati, who headed the "slapgate" inquiry panel, clarified that Sreesanth was slapped. The temperamental pacer, however, claimed he was elbowed by Harbhajan and not slapped.

"Bhajji Never Slapped me...all I did is play the game the way I had all my life. he lost it badly...being the captain of MUMBAI he lost it. He had no control over his anger...and one more thing I wanna clear...he (nanavati sir) knows the truth and the full ipl...he had lost it," he said.

"Every one blaming me and always writing and talking about slap gate??it really s**#s.the truth is in the video...which is with ipl.. I want the world to see it...When I went to shake hands after the match...he had lost it...he had already planned to hit me (elbow me) all his anger."

Sreesanth went on to tweet: "I was asked to say that...it was my fault too...I was asked...that's the truth...it was never my fault...it's sad.really sad..."

"I ve moved on but when I keep reading all this bull###*itreally hurts...it really does...but that's enough...anyways thanks to the media."

"All this 5...6 years ...I was quite...not anymore..there is much more than what u all even know...that's it."

Later in the day, some of the tweets were deleted from Sreesanth's account.
