Old Heroine.. New App!

Update: 2017-08-09 13:49 GMT

In this ever-growing dynamic digital world, people are mostly relying on social media and using smart phones to get their news updates daily. Even stars have recognised that they are designing customised apps for their fans to know the first hand information about them, directly from them rather than any third party sources. Hollywood celebrities started releasing such apps and Bollywood celebs too are not far behind. Sonam Kapoor started the trend in India by creating an app exclusively giving updates about her and Disha Patani, Amy Jackson, Nargis Fakri followed her lead. Now, even eternal diva Sri Devi is looking to release an app about her.

Not many actors from 90's have developed or released such apps. Only Salman Khan, introduced an app, Being Human, for his philanthropy activities and King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan has an app developed by his fans but he doesn't have one where he shares his own information through his publicist or himself. Bu Sri Devi, decided to release one where she will be sharing about her personal life more with her fans.

Sri Devi talked about it to the media and she said, " I don't think Social Media is harmful. In fact I love to share and interact with my fans more on a daily basis about my life. I believe having an app will let them interact with me more directly more easily than me opening an account on some social media networking sites. I believe we have to accept the changes with time and Social Media is a great tool for us to interact these days."

Many are commenting why does she need an app this late in her career as she is nearing retirement age. Sri Devi doesn't agree with them and she suggests that she is still working in the films however rare, that might be and she believes there are many who like her and would want to know about her as well. In any case, after MOM, Sri Devi no longer seems to be believing in staying aloof from Social media!
