As per reliable sources, Satellite Rights of 'Srimanthudu' got sold out for a whooping Rs 17 crore. Zee Telugu acquired the rights by paying a bomb. While Rs 12 crore out of it is for the Telugu version rights, Rs 5 crore went for Hindi dub.
Rs 17 crore is at least 35% of 'Srimanthudu' Total Cost of Production. Pocketing such a huge sum in the form of Satellite Rights even before the film release is a remarkable feat.
