After scoring a blockbuster with Manam, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya are set to collaborate again for Bangarraju, the sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana. Bangarraju is set to be officially launched on 20th of this month and details about the lead cast and crew will be out on the same day. It is being said that the stage is set for Banharraju and the makers of this highly anticipated multi-starrer are planning to commence shooting from as early as the 25th of this month. Kalyan Krishna, who directed the first part, Soggade Chinni Nayana will be taking over the directorial reins for the sequel as well. It is heard that Kalyan has completed the scripting part already and both Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya are excited about the project as they are impressed with the way the script shaped up.

Bangarraju will feature Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. The makers shelled out big bucks to sign Krithi Shetty for the project. She is said to have pocketed as much as Rs 70 lakhs for the multi-starrer. This is a whopping remuneration for a 1-film-old actress who is still in the early stages of her acting career. The makers have also roped in Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 fame, Monal Gajjar for an important role in the film. Monal will not just be seen in an important role but she will also set the dance floor on fire in a special item number in the film.

While Soggade Chinni Nayana narrates the afterlife story of Bangarraju, the character played by Nagarjuna, the sequel, Bangarraju will present his story before his demise. The story is packed with comedy, emotions, and family entertainment elements. The film will be prepared for release during the next Sankranthi season. Nagarjuna himself is producing the film under Annapurna Studios banner. More details about the principal cast and crew will be out once the project is officially announced, which isn't too far from now. Nagarjuna is currently shooting for an action thriller directed by Praveen Sattaru. As for Naga Chaitanya, he wrapped up Laal Singh Chaddha recently and will be resuming 'Thank You' very soon.
