VT Selvakumar used to be the PRO of Kollywood hero Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Recently he made controversial comments on superstar Rajinikanth. He stated that Rajnikanth is no longer in the number one position of Tamil cinema and Vijay has replaced him long back. He said that Rajini may have a great image among the audience but he has moved to the second position and Vijay got into the first place with the tremendous collections of 'Mersal' and 'Sarkar'. She also said that he has the reports from theatres to prove the same. Though Vijay is undoubtedly one of the top heroes in Kollywood, comparing him with another star hero has caused a war between Rajini and Vijay fans.
On the other hand, Vijay's fan club has issued a statement that Vijay has nothing to do with his PRO's statement and he has not authorized anyone to make such comments. Though this reduced should be the intensity of war between the fans, the debate about who is the top hero of Tamil cinema is still going on.
