Why Do Success Meets Feel More Like Publicity Stunts?

Update: 2018-10-24 16:14 GMT
This is not about a particular film but many films these days Success Meets have become a common practice. We see a success meet scheduled on the day, the movie releases.

Once Upon a Time, Success meets used to be the real celebration of hardwork, a team has put in, to pull off such a huge hit.

For a movie to be called a blockbuster at least 4 weeks run used to be considered but today on the first day, by evening we see producers thanking audiences at a press meet.

Then they celebrate success at a huge function hall or keep coming in front of the media for the whole week. Success meets have become extended promotional activities post release for movies at best and people are joking about them than really believing in them.

They just feel that every other film producer is just happy that their film is released and hence, they are celebrating it as a success!
