Director Sukumar has strong ideals and he is known for doing anything that will help his film.
He wanted Samantha Akkineni to play the role of Ramalakshmi and even though many scared him, he did what he felt is right for the character.
Sukumar thanked Samantha and said that she broke a mindset and a rule in Telugu Cinema.
He said, "When we thought Samantha Akkineni would be perfect for the role of Ramalakshmi, many said that she is getting married and people won't see her.
"I went and asked Chiranjeevi garu about it and he said, "People will see her as character, don't worry about being married and all." His words have become true," said the director.
He further said, "Samantha broke a rule in our Industry, that married actress cannot act and she will be cast in many films after our film."
Well, like in Bollywood, where married actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan are able to act in lead roles, Samantha Akkineni, here in our Telugu Cinema, is doing the same and showing a path for new actresses.
