Suma Puts Speculations On Leaving Anchoring To Rest!

Suma Kanakala might have started her career as a serial actor. But venturing into anchoring changed her career at once. She created a niche for herself and Suma has been ruling the anchoring space for a very long time. Suma's popularity is such that big film events won't happen without her.

During Brahmāstra: Part One - Shiva's promotions, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt graced the Cash show along with maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli. This speaks volumes about the stardom of Suma Kanakala as a big anchor. She even invited politicians like Telangana IT Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao aka KTR.

Since yesterday reports are abuzz that Suma Kanakala might bid goodbye to anchoring. A promo of an upcoming program started the reports. In the promo, Suma became emotional after she was felicitated with a shawl.

Suma became emotional and recalled her journey as an anchor and mentioned how she was encouraged in Telugu despite being a Malayali. The promo was all over social media and people wondered if Suma might retire as an anchor putting an end to an illustrious career.

Amid this, Suma cleared the airs and said that there is no truth in the reports and she is born for entertainment. Having said that, Suma maintained she will not go anywhere as she is born for TV and to entertain people. "I will be here. So Please Be Happy. Happy New Year To You," Suma said in the video.

Adding further, Suma Kanakala said that it is true she became personal in the promo after she was felicitated and people will understand what happened after seeing the whole episode. Suma put an end to the rumors and cleared the airs on the reports that she might step down from the anchoring profession.

Having a shift as a presenter made wonders for Suma Kanakala's career and she started seeing her image increase. The other anchors could not meet the popularity of Suma.

The Star Mahila show aired on ETV created history by becoming the second longest-running show. The show entered the Limca Book of Records as the longest-running women's game show hosted by a single anchor. Star Mahila completed 3000 episodes.
