Update: 2020-06-08 06:12 GMT
Film lovers are passing their time by watching some new and interesting content on OTT platforms for now but they are badly missing the theatre experience from the past three months. As soon as the government got ready to give permissions to start the shootings, movie buffs were all eager to know about the reopening of theatres.

But veteran producer Suresh Babu recently made it clear to everyone that the theatres will not opening anytime soon. He says that the curtains on the screens will only be lifted three months after the shootings resume. He said that the shootings may start by July end or August which means that the theatres may not open in the coming few weeks as per sources.

He told, 'We are not in a hurry. We are actually in plans of long-term business and not into personal benefits. The theatre business is slowly turning a burden for many. If we reopen the theatres again now, it would be tough for the exhibition industry to survive. China and Dubai just witnessed 2% occupancy which will happen in the Telugu states too if we reopen the theatres.'

He adds that the shooting of his production, 'Narappa' is still left and it needs at least 25 days along with 100 crew members everyday to wrap it up. Since the government allows only 50 persons on sets, it will be tough for them shoot. We need to wait and see what happens in the coming few weeks.
