Will Suresh Babu's Idea Workout In Present Situation?

Update: 2020-04-14 14:24 GMT
The theatres are completely shut down from the past month and there are no releases which is creating worries among industry people. The lockdown got extended to May 3rd and there are chances that public gathering spots like theatres may restart only after June. The whole country will be facing a big financial crisis and the real question is, will people be willing to buy 150/200 tickets and go to theatres at this time?

There may be a lot of pay cuts and many people may also lose their jobs. This makes people resort to cutting down their expenses and it will automatically lead to decrease in the footfalls at theatres. Exhibitors and theatre owners are wondering how to survive during this time and senior producer and Tollywood bigwig Suresh Babu came up with an idea a few days back. It is considered extreme at that time but it may be applicable now considering the situation.

He reportedly said that the theatre prices should be reduced to interest the audience. The morning and matinee shows should have 50% discount offers. He also said that the government should give tax-exemption so that theatres can get enough money for their maintenance at the minimum. Who do you think? Can it be applied?
