Swara Bhaskar Opens About Sexual Harassment Against A Director

Update: 2019-01-19 11:01 GMT
Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar got a reputation for being one of the bold, articulate and well versed orators of Indian Cinema. She has been advocating about #MeToo all the while since the moment started.

She again made scathing comments against a Bollywood director but did not name him. She said, "I did not know and understand that this director was indirectly trying to have a sexual relationship with me.

He always on some or other pretext touch me and try to come in contact with me. I never thought he would do so but he did try to somehow charm me, as they say.

He might not be a bad guy but he always has been a guy who thinks about what he gets in return and ask people to reciprocate for giving them chances.

I did not understand the situation properly and clearly six years ago but controlled myself and my emotions to not make it big and also did not let him touch me.

Another director 3 years ago, tried to act funny with me for sexual favours and I set him right immediately. It is hard to process through such situations and maintain your composure.

Men may not be bad but when they do think about women as easy and sexual objects, they should be given counselling.

In our country, we judge women who come out as victims in these situations and question them more giving men options to go scot-free. This needs to change for better society," concluded the actress.
