As one such incident, an Indian-origin Uber driver was reportedly shot by a teenager in New York, home of iconic sites. The driver is said to have succumbed to the injuries the victim sustained in the attack.
New York-based VHF Digital Channel WABC-TV in its story said that the incident took place when an argument took place between a passenger, believed to be a teenager, and the Uber Driver. Things escalated quickly and the passenger reportedly shot the driver.
The victim was identified as Kuldip Singh, who works as a driver with the transport company Uber. However, the channel said, it cannot make the details of the attacker public as rules say the details of the teenager cannot be disclosed.
Media reports say that victim Kuldip Singh, 21-year-old developed serious injuries in the attacks. The passers-by, who saw him bleeding had swung into action and tried to shift him to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to bullet injuries.
It is also that, the attacker also sustained a few injuries in the mishap. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital and a charge sheet is likely to be filed against him very soon.
