Telangana Film Producers Council Fixes Agenda For General Meeting

Update: 2022-07-18 11:27 GMT
The producer's body of the Telugu cinema Telugu Films Producers Council (TFPC) had found out the issues which have been troubling them and decided to address them at the earliest. The body said that a key meeting will take place on the 21st of this month and the issues will be discussed.

In the press release, the Telugu Films Producers Council (TFPC) had listed as many as eight issues that will be discussed as the issues range from the production cost, ticket rates, OTT, role and managers, and others.

Earlier, the body had urged the OTT platforms to stream films only after the film completes 50 days of its release. We might expect another decision from the body as OTTs are also one of the agendas that will be discussed at the general body meeting. The gap between the theatrical release and OTT release might be increased further.

As there has been a gap between the producers and the theatre owners on the Virtual Print Fee (VPF) as to who will pay the fee, we might get some clarity as the issue will be discussed.

It is no wonder that the council has listed the movie ticket rates in the list of agendas. There are contrasting situations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While the ticket rates are too low in AP, it is contrasting in TS.

Cost Of Production, Working Conditions, and Rates, Fighters Union issues and Federation Issues, Role of Managers and Artistes/Technicians Issues are the other issues that will be discussed at the general body meeting.
