Telangana government comes to the rescue of Tollywood!

Coming to the rescue of the film industry that was hit really hard by the pandemic, the Telangana government gave its nod for the industry to increase the ticket fares in theatres. The Telangana government told the happy news that brings a smile on the producers and those who are dependent on the industries on Friday.

After considering the recommendations of the designated committee, the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao took the decision to allow the theatre owners to increase the ticket prices based on the type of the theaters.

As per the new decision, the ticket prices in AC theatres would be ranging from Rs 50 - Rs 150. The starting price will be Rs 50 and the highest price would go up to Rs 150.

The multiplexes ticket prices will cost Rs 100 at the least and the highest price would be Rs 250. On the other hand, the multiplex recliner seat price was fixed at Rs 300. The AC theaters and non-AC theaters would be charged Rs 5 and Rs 3 respectively per ticket under the service charges. The tickets booked online would come up as an additional burden of the GST charges.
