Telangana Shankuntala is no more

Telangana Shakuntala who is known for her T-dialect breathed her last on Friday night after a severe heart attack. Soon after she complained chest pain, Family members rushed her to Narayana Hridayalaya but the Doctors has declared that she was brought dead.

Shakuntala, A Maharashtrian, made a place for herself in Telugu Film Industry with her terrific command on the Telangana accent. She is also popular for her good grip on Rayalseema dialect. Her role as Prakash Raj's Mother in 'Okkadu' earned her lot of appreciation. Her first film 'Maa Bhoomi' released in the year 1981 and her last release was 'Pandavuu Pandavulu Thummeda' (2014). She has been part of over 70 films. Especially, Her performances in Okkadu, Nuvvu Nenu, Lakshmi, Rajanna and few other films were immensely liked by the movie buffs.
