Disappointing Weekend At Telugu Box Office

Update: 2018-10-08 07:25 GMT
It has been a very disappointing weekend at the Box-office for the movie lovers. The much-anticipated multi-starrer 'Devadas' is having poor collections whereas the recent release 'NOTA' also failed to change this trend.

Despite, having a very good opening on Friday, the collections dropped big on the second day itself and failed to grow on Sunday as well. In fact, the Sunday collections are much less than Saturday which is a very bad sign. The movie collected a distributor share of 8.20 Cr in domestic markets in its opening weekend whereas the valued rights are 20.50 Cr making 'NOTA' a disaster. On the other hand, 'Devadas' also had a huge drop on Wednesday last week and failed to increase. The distributor share is 1.50 Cr in its the second weekend and the 11 days total is 20 Cr approximately. Domestic Theatrical rights of the film are valued for at least 32 Cr which made 'Devadas' a flop. When the Tollywood films are struggling at the box office, the Hollywood flick 'Venom' has a good opening in the Telugu States.

'Nawab' also ended up as a disaster as a share of the film is at 1.75 Cr against the valued rights of 3.60 Cr. Other new release like 'Bhale Manchi Chowka Beram' and 'Desamlo Dongalu Paddaru' also had poor opening day collections.
