June is officially over and we are ready with our half-yearly report. The box office for Telugu Cinema this year seemed to have many positive results than years before. There are eleven hits this year till now and this is a welcome sign. There are two All-time Blockbusters and five career best grosser in all of them.
Going into the details, Sankranthi started off on a high positive note with Megastar Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No.150, Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni and Sharwanand's Shatamanam Bhavathi becoming big hits. The movies have become best grossers in the respective hero's careers. The positive career best run continued in February with Nani's Nenu Local as well. The movie became a big success for the actor making him a star at the box office. Rana's Ghazi also became a success.
In March, Kittu Unnadu Jagrattha stood out among the releases and in April, Venkatesh's Guru became a success. In April, Baahubali storm took over and in May, Keshava for Nikhil and Rarandoyi Veduka Chuddam for Naga Chaitanya stood out as successes. As for June, Allu Arjun's Duvvada Jagannadam is going successfully at box office.
In these 11 movies, we can say two movies have become All time blockbusters. Still, when compared to last year by this time, Telugu Cinema is definitely glowing this year. Hope it continues to receive more hits in the second half!
