The First Half of 2017 has come to an end & it's now time to analyze how many Feature Films have become successful. About 8 projects have fetches profits for all the stakeholders during this period. Interestingly, Three of them had released in January itself. Sankranthi 2017 will always remain memorable as 'Khaidi No.150' (Super Hit), 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' (Hit) and 'Shatamanam Bhavati' (Double Blockbuster) has surpassed all the expectations.
While two successful films 'Nenu Local' (Blockbuster) & 'Ghazi' (Super Hit) released in February, Venky's 'Guru' (Super Hit) arrived in March. And 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' (Industry Hit) created collection tsunami for weeks since it's release in April. The last hit of 2016 First Half, Rarandoi Veduka Chudam (Super Hit), came in the month of May.
In the Above Average slot, Only Raj Tarun and Anu Emmanuel-starrer 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' managed to fit in.
Whereas, 'DJ' (Still Running), 'Keshava', 'Ami Thumi', '16 - Every Detail Counts' & 'Sivalinga' ended up as Average grossers.
All the other films released in the past six months have bitten dust. Still, Tollywood have done much better than another Industry in the country in terms of success rate. Hopefully, Second Half of 2017 will take TFI to the next level.
