The Hero Who Did Everything But Sports Dramas!

Sports dramas have become a huge trend nowadays. Starting from North to South every film industry is coming with interesting movies based on sports. A lot of biopics of sports personalities or movies with such backdrop have pleased the audience in recent times. Many heroes are trying their luck in this genre and scored hits.

We have seen a lot of star heroes playing one or the other sport at one stage of their careers. Megastar was seen as a footballer in Vijetha Pawan was seen as boxer in Thammudu Mahesh is seen as Kabaddi player in Okkadu Nani and Naga Chaitanya played the roles of cricketers in Jersey and Majili. But there is one senior hero who never played the role of a sports person in his career.

He is King Nagarjuna who is known for his versatility in choosing scripts. Starting from devotional to romantic he acted in every type of film but he never did a sports drama. This fact is amazing many film lovers. When asked about the chance of doing sports based films anytime soon. He replied When I was young nothing of that sort came to me. The films like Laagaan worked in the North a long time ago and now slowly that has spread to the South. But it is too late for me. My age doesnt help me to do such roles.

Nagarjuna is currently enjoying the success of Bangarraju. This movie is a sequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana which came during the Sankranti season of 2016 and emerged as a big hit despite the competition from Dictator and Nannaku Prematho. After five years Bangarraju arrived with a lot of expectations. Ramya Krishna will be seen as the female lead beside Nagarjuna while happening young beauty Krithi Shetty will be romancing Chaitanya. Jathi Ratnalu fame Faria Abdullah is doing a special song in this movie. Kalyan Krishna Kurasala is the director while Anup Rubens is the film’s music composer.

He is currently working on action thriller under Praveen Sattaru’s direction. He is also the host for the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’.
