The Sankranti Battle Getting Spicier Now!

Update: 2022-11-11 12:46 GMT
Pan-Indian hero Prabhas' decision to walk away from the Sankranti race has proved to be beneficial for other biggies who are gearing up to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. As we know, Megastar and Balakrishna are battling it out this Pongal season but what made things even more interesting is the arrival of big dubbing flicks too.

If reports are to be believed, Dil Raju who is bankrolling 'Varisu' starring Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika has blocked the theatres in Nizam to screen his dubbing film. This has left not many theatres for Megastar's 'Waltair Veerayya' and Balakrishna's 'Veera Simha Reddy'. Both these movies are produced by Mythri Movie Makers. As per reports, Vijay's 'Varisu' will be getting more number of screens across the Telugu states due to Raju's influence among the distributors.

Though the first preference needs to be given for straight Telugu movies like 'Waltair Veerayya' and 'Veera Simha Reddy', the agreements are reportedly done by 'Varisu' team. Also, we are not at all talking about Akkineni Akhil's 'Agent' which is also arriving during the same time. Tamil hero Ajith's 'Thunivu' is also coming during the Pongal season and Dil Raju has reportedly bought the dubbing rights for it too. Leaving Akhil's film aside, the competition is going to be mainly between two straight Telugu films and two dubbing films. Let us wait and see what happens in the coming days.
