East Godavari Film Distributors & Exhibitors Association arranged a meeting in Kakinada Lakshmi theatre and decided to screen films from Diwali. Speaking to the media, the representatives firstly thanked the central and state governments for allowing the theatres to reopen from 15th October.
But due to some technical issues, they are not able to open the theatres from October 15th and after consulting with producers, they decided to open the theatres from Diwali i.e on November 9th.
During the lockdown, the theatre owners were promised to spare the electricity charges by the government. The meeting was attended by Atti Satyanarayana, Lakshmi theatre Sreenu, Geetha Venkateswara Rao, JK Ramakrishna, Pithapuram Pedababu, Chinababu, Gauri Shankar, Haribabu, Swami Babu and others.
