Yashraj Films sued the makers of Telugu flick 'Jabardasth' starring Samantha and Siddharth for copying the content of its superhit 'Band Baaja Baaraat' without acquiring the remake rights.

Delhi High Court found copyright infringement has happened in this case. It barred the Makers of Telugu Flick (Sri Sai Ganesh Productions owned by Belamkonda Suresh) from having any right to use DVDs, VCDs and Blue-Ray Formats. An order has been passed not to screen 'Jabardasth' on Television.

'Band Baaja Baaraat' starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma released in 2010. On the other hand, 'Jabardasth' directed by Nandini Reddy hit the screens in February 2013 and bombed miserably. In fact, Yashraj Films remade the original in Telugu as 'Aha Kalyanam' (2014) which stars Nani and Vaani Kapoor.

Nandini Reddy, Samantha, Siddharth and Bellamkonda Suresh need to blame themselves for being in this situation Today. This wouldn't have happened had if any one of the four raised an objection to such a subject.
