Casting couch issue is common in any industry and almost every actress faces the offer atleast once in her career. However, no one speaks about it openly but everyone knows about it. Recently, a TV actress Sulagna Chatterjee openly spoke about casting couch and posted a screenshot of her WhatsApp chat with an agent who is asking her to "compromise".
The actress didn't showed the name of number of the person but just posted the screenshot of it. The agent was stating that the director is demanding her to compromise only after full payment but the actress sternly and poilitely declined the offer. Sulagna posted the screenshot on twitter and captioned it "When such offers are so common that you are not even affected anymore!". The actress showed courage by raising her voice against it and her casual attitute is proving that she is truly not affected by such incidents anymore.
When asked about it, "I have never been offered anything like this by the topmost A-listers who work in the industry. All of these offers come from the middlemen who have nothing to do in life." Said Sulagna. The whole issue is a proof that casting couch exists not only in film industry but also in small screen industry.
