Twitter suspends Singer's Account

Update: 2017-05-24 09:26 GMT
Twitter suspended the account of Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya for allegedly posting offensive tweets against Women.

Apparently, Abhijeet deliberately insulted Journalist Swati Chaturvedi who filed a police complaint against him in July 2016 using the micro-blogging site. On Monday, The Singer used inappropriate language targeting few women including JNU Student Shehla Rashid on Twitter. He wrote, 'There is a rumour she took money for two hours and didn't satisfy the client… big racket'.

Abhijeet alleged award-winning Author Arundhati Roy and People backing JNU were behind the suspension of his Twitter account. He claims to have hardly cared the blocking of account and went on to say the whole nation is with him.

Actually, BJP MP Paresh Rawal stirred a controversy by saying Arundhati Roy should be tied to the army jeep instead of the stone pelter in Kashmir. Now, Abhijeet complains he is being targeted for expressing similar views.
