Most Controversial Film cleared with 13 Cuts

CBFC Chairman Pahlaj Nihalani officially announces the Censor clearance of Bollywood's controversial flick 'Udta Punjab' with an 'A' Certificate after 13 Cuts. He clarifies Producer is free to approach court or tribunal if he is still unsatisfied and CBFC will implement whatever the order could be.

Responding to the criticism on his Dictatorial Attitude, Pahlaj Nihalani shot back at Critics calling them 'Ghatia'. The CBFC Chief also make it clear he never claimed he is a 'chamcha' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Following the numerous cuts suggested by Revising Committee, Producer Anurag Kashyap moved Bombay High Court. The HC suggested Makers to remove some of the expletives and vulgar scenes. A final judgment will be delivered by a division bench Today.

'Udta Punjab', a film based on drug menace in Punjab, irked the ruling BJP Government ahead of Assembly polls in 2017. The controversy united all the Opposition Parties to extend their support to the Film Unit.
