Vaishnav Tej: Konda Polam is my second chapter

Vaishnav Tej, who made a sparkling debut with Uppena is now awaiting the release of Konda Polam, a rustic forest-based action drama which is being directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The makers of the Krish directorial held a grand pre-release event today to publicize the arrival of the film. It is known that Konda Polam will be arriving in theaters on the 8th of this month. Promotions are in full swing for the action drama, which is based on Konda Polam novel, written by Venkat Rami Reddy.

Speaking at the pre-release event, Harish Shankar, who attended the event as one of the chief guests states that it is important that those in the industry and as well as Telugu cinema followers start showing more respect toward writers. He expressed his discontentment over the lack of recognition towards the writers in the industry. He also advised everyone, in general, to start reading more in order to gain a broader perspective over day to day proceedings. He exuded confidence in Konda Polam and said the film will certainly be one of the finest attempts in the recent times.

Vaishnav Tej said "Uppena is my first chapter as an actor, and now, Konda Polam is my second chapter. I am really proud that I am associated with a film like this one. Working on Konda Polam has been a highly rewarding experience for me. Krish is like a brother to me now. We share a great rapport and I'd like to thank him for picking me for Konda Polam. The way he conceived and presented my character and also the film, as a whole, is truly inspirational."

Rakul Preet Singh said she is delighted that she could play Obulamma in Konda Polam and thanked Krish for providing her with the opportunity to act in a beautiful film like this one. She expressed her confidence in the film and added that this is one of the very best films that she has acted in till now. She seemed really excited about the project.

Krish said he was greatly inspired by the Konda Polam novel while he was reading it during the lockdown. "I fell in love with Konda Polam and immediately decided to buy the rights of the novel. That is how this film conceptualized and I am glad that Vaishnav and Rakul breahted life into the characters that I had penned."
