Varun Tej gave in interesting speech during the audio launch of 'Fidaa'. He said that "Usually daddy.. uncle.. Bunny anna.. Charan anna.. some one would definitely attend my functions. But thank you so much for coming here even though they did not come". The audience became anxious as Varun started speaking differently.. some fans thought that why Varun is talking like that? They were worried whether he would come up with a 'Cheppanu Brother' type of comment. But nothing of that sort happened.
He went on to say that "The reason why we are here is because of Chiranjeevi garu. Even before Kalyan babai entered films.. we got attracted to films. Chiranjeevi garu first and Kalyan babai next." Then he told the reason for taking their names. "Many people may not like it, when I talk about Chiranjeevi, Pawan uncles.. Charan anna every time. I wouldn't be here today without them.. so I'll definitely talk about them."
Varun said that he got hurt when the director told him that heroine is a Pawan Kalyan fan. I asked Sekhar Kammula "Sir.. I got hurt. In any case I should be Pawan Kalyan fan.. how could heroine be his fan? But Pallavi did that role very well. She told babai dialogues wonderfully." He showered praises on Sai Pallavi that the has done 200% justice to the role. He also said that it is a blessing to work in the direction of Sekhar Kammula. He thanked producer Dil Raju for producing the film by clearing all his doubts.
