Vidya Balan talked to press about NTR biopic as she is celebrating her birthday on New Year.
She said, "Though I got many offers from Telugu in the past, âNTRâ canât be a better start for me. Producer Vishnu Induri asked me to talk to Nandamuri Balakrishna and post interaction, I immediately accepted to do the film."
The actress did maintain a distance from very regular movies and when a movie is all about male protagonist, what made her accept this film?
She remarked, "There is a beautiful bond between NTR and Basavatarakam and they also share mutual trust."
So, she decided to play the role of Basavatarakam on screen and about her future in Telugu Cinema, she said, "I am always open to good scripts!"
She did quip that she found NBK's love for NTR unhinged and felt really happy to share screen with him, it seems.
