Vijay's Mersal took a grand opening and made news headlines with collection updates and also, controversies. Many wanted to see what did the movie gad to offer that so many audiences are going gaga over it. Also, Telugu audience wanted to see the movie for Samantha, Kajal and Nitya Menen, too.
But the movie seems to be facing even more problems. In Tamil, the products had to wait till the last minute to confirm a release but they finally managed to do so. After that, Telugu dub producer Sharath Marar announced that they could not procure a censor certificate in time and scheduled the release for 27th October. But till 26th, the movie team did not get the certificate and still there is no update regarding the film.
Sharath Marar, too seems to have lost interest on the film as he did not talk about the movie ever since the release got postponed. Theatres even opened booking on Friday and they had to refund money of those who bought tickets. With these hurdles, movie lost all the momentum and buzz. Already, there are many releases planned in Telugu now and we have to wait and see, if producers can announce another release date soon.
