Vijay Is A Hero Both On & Off Screen: Puri Jagannadh

Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger' is all set to hit the screens on 25th August. The promotions are already underway and fans are eager to watch this film. The trailer raised the buzz immensely and the songs are quite appealing too. Vijay is getting a humongous response from the crowds and his craze is amazing to everyone.

The team is touring all over the country till the day before the release of 'Liger'. As a part of the promotions, the makers organized a grand pre-release event in Warangal on the 14th of August and fans gathered in huge numbers. Team members including Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Pandey, Charmmee, Puri, Vishu and other were present at the event. Dashing director Puri Jagannadh was in all praise for the 'Arjun Reddy' star.

The 'Pokiri' director said that he and Vijay's dad are good friends and added that he was mightily impressed with Deverakonda's genuine and honest acting in 'Arjun Reddy'. Speaking about the young hero's character, Puri stated that he is a hero both onscreen as well as offscreen. He claimed that Vijay is the kind of person who doesn't take one crore even if it's offered and asks them to spend it on the film instead. He added that when Vijay was given two crores, he immediately gave it back to us to clear the debts which is not something anyone does.

Puri seems to have loved working with Vijay as his next project 'Jana Gana Mana' is also with the same hero. Coming back to 'Liger', it is coming out in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta together are bankrolling the film on a grand scale. Apart from Vijay Deverakonda, the cast of 'Liger' includes Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey, Getup Srinu and others.
