Friction between Tamil Film Producers Council and Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) took an ugly turn. Producer Manimaran filed a police complaint against FEFSI Office-Bearer Dhanapal for allegedly issuing death threat to Vishal.
Vishal is currently serving as Nadigar Sangam General Secretary & Producers Council President. Post filing the complaint, Manimaran informed Media that Vishal received a WhatsApp message in which unparliamentary language was used. He told the message conveys Vishal will be murdered by cutting off his hands and legs. Vishal's Camp suspects the role of Dhanapal behind the abusive WhatsApp message.
After becoming President of Producers Council, Vishal declared a war on Pirates. He even announced a part of the earnings from sale of movie tickets will be used to help the farmers of Tamil Nadu. Recently, He permitted Producers to employ even those individuals who aren't members of the FEFSI. This move didn't go down well with the Employees Federation.
