The row surrounding 'Mersal' has taken a new turn. While speaking to a news channel, BJP National Secretary H Raja has admitted watching the Vijay-starrer on the internet.
Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal lambasted H Raja for encouraging piracy by watching the movie online despite being in a responsible position. 'Dear H Raja, I wonder how a political leader like you can watch a pirated version of the movie and set a bad precedent,' asked the Actor.
In reply, H Raja clarified he just watched certain clips of 'Mersal' on his mobile phone. He claims to have lacked the patience to watch a two-and-a-half-hour movie. The BJP Leader found fault with few statements in 'Mersal' apart from saying his party welcomes criticism.
Whereas, Tamil Nadu BJP Leader Siddharth Mani found nothing fault with the dialogues in 'Mersal'. He opined few BJP Leaders had unnecessarily projected the dialogues as satires on Centre & Party.
