Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan said he wanted the recent Tamil romantic-comedy "Kalyana Samayal Saadham" to succeed because the makers had told him that he had been their biggest inspiration and that made him nervous.

The film, which has been popularized as KSS, revolves around a soon-to-be married couple who deal with a personal problem.

"I became nervous when the makers told me that I had inspired them. Therefore, I wished for the film to succeed and I'm glad that it has today. The director and the producer of the film ensured that I don't feel nervous anymore," Haasan said in a statement.

Lauding the young team of KSS, he said it's a 'cute film on marriage'.

"So many youngsters nowadays watch film of renowned directors and pass comments. But when you hand over the baton to them, they screw up big time. But here is team of youngsters, who have understood and appreciated cinema, have given us a memorable film," he said.

"There have been so many films on weddings in Indian cinema, but here is a film that has presented the topic in a different perspective. It's a cute film on marriage," added Haasan, who had personally lauded the film's team at his residence here recently.

Directed by debutant R.S Prasanna, the film featured Prasanna Venkatesan and Lekha Washington in the lead roles.
