Who is your favourite director ?..What is your favourite film ? If we pose these questions to a common man or a celebrity(Of Course a Telugu guy).. then he will take the names from Bollywood.. to Hollywood. Even though they are fond of a Telugu director.. they will not reveal his name. They may be of the opinion that people should think of them as a tasteful and modern person. Darshaka Ratna Dasari Narayana Rao responded on the same topic lashing out people for such behaviour.
"We do not know our greatness. We don't care when a Telugu guy achieves something. You go and ask any Telugu guy 'Who is your favourite director?' They will take the name of Mani Ratnam.. or Balachander. Directors like KV Reddy do not come into their mind. But Tamilians, Malayalis, Kannadigas are not like that. They say that.. 'we are first others are after us'. We are making ourselves lilliputs by doing so".
T. Subbirami Reddy felicitated Dasari on the occasion of Dasari production 'Abhishekam' serial completing 2500 episodes successfully. While speaking on this event he made these interesting remarks. He also added that producing.. directing serials is not an easy task. He said he will touch the feet if any star director can complete 100 episodes of any serial.
