It is well known that Manoj Desai who is the owner of the famous Maratha Mandir criticized Vijay Deverakonda for his statements. But the senior theatre owner took back his words and said that the video he watched was quite misleading. Post the release of 'Liger', Vijay met with Manoj Desai and explained what he actually said.

Going into the details, Vijay said that he is not afraid of someone stopping his film. He added that he is an actor who has the blessing of his mom and the support of god along with a lot of fire inside which makes him unstoppable. Responding to this video, Manoj Desai fired on the 'Arjun Reddy' hero. He felt that Vijay's words like people will watch the film in OTT if not in theatres are creating a lot of problems for the theatrical business. He stated that the impact of Vijay's words was clear on the advance bookings and his attitude is going to affect his career.

In an interview, Desai said the above things and added that his ego is clearly visible. He said that stars like Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Tapsee Pannu are having bad experiences nowadays and Vijay's comments are going to affect his own films. After knowing this, Vijay personally met with Manoj Desai and explained what he said very clearly. He made it clear that he did not say anything wrong. Knowing his mistake, Manoj Desai apologized to Vijay Deverakonda.

The senior theatre owner claimed that he got angry with the clip he saw and did not watch the entire video. While he apologized to Vijay, the 'Arjun Reddy' hero said that seniors like him should not say sorry and touched his feet too. He blessed Vijay to have a long career. Interestingly, this is not the first time Manoj Desai apologized to a hero. He made some comments about legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and said sorry after that.
