Talented commercial director Harish Shankar made his directorial debut with Ravi Teja's'Shock' which was a failure. After working with Puri Jagannadh as an associate, he scored his first hit film as a director with'Mirapakay'. Ravi Teja was the one who gave him second chance too but Harish became a star director with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster movie'Gabbar Singh'. He proved his stamina with that film and barring'Ramayya Vastavayya', all his movies were commercial hits.
He did most of his movies with heroes in the Mega compound. After'Gabbar Singh', he teamed up with young Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej for'Subramanyam For Sale'. As this film became successful, he joined hands with Icon Star Allu Arjun for'Duvvada Jagannadham' which was a decent hit at the box office.
After these two, he worked with Varun Tej on'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' which was also a good hit. Now, he is ready with'Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh' and waiting for Pawan to join the shoot. While the fans are eagerly waiting for this project, Pawan is in no mood to start the shooting. He is focusing on other movies and is about to accept another remake of Tamil film'Vinodhaya Sitham'.
Harish has been waiting with a bound script for a long time and it may take even longer now. The same situation happened with versatile director Krish. The'Vedam' director is making'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' with Pawan who gave preference to other movies initially. During this time, Krish went ahead and worked with Vaisshnav Tej on'Konda Polam'. We need to see if Harish follows Krish and takes up another movie in the meantime or not.
