Will Kiran Kumar Reddy put on the pads again and bat for Congress Party?

Update: 2021-11-01 13:23 GMT
The Congress high command has for quite some time been trying to activate former chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. Kiran Reddy, who was the last chief minister of the undivided Andhra Padesh, has been dormant despite so much prodding by the High Command. He appears to be disinclined to take up an active role.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who staunched the advocated the case against the bifurcation, is known for his governance and strong advocacy. He still has a strong group of voters who admire him for his bold stand. But, post bifurcation, he did not shown any interest in active politics. However, the Congress intervened and made him a member of the party.

When Raghuveera Reddy relinquished the PCC chief's post after the 2019 elections, the high command wanted to make Kiran Kumar Reddy the PCC chief. However, he declined and this forced the AICC leadership to appoint Sailajanath. Now even Sailajanath is expressing disinterest in continuing as the PCC chief. So, the AICC wants to make Kiran Reddy agree to become the PCC chief.

However, despite prodding by the AICC leadership, Kiran Kumar Reddy did not campaign for the party. He has stayed away from the campaign in Badvel and Tirupati. In both cases, he refused to campaign. Will he break his self-imposed retirement? Will he put on his pads to bat again? Let's wait and see.
