Gautham Menon is one of the elite filmmakers in South India who created a separate fanbase with his brand of love stories and cop thrillers. His 'Ye Maya Chesave', 'Surya S/o Krishnan', 'Gharshana' and others are evergreen films. He is even seen acting a couple of films these days and he is one name that cannot be forgotten easily.

But a Youtuber who interviewed the top director is now facing a lot of trolls for mistaking him with legendary director Mani Ratnam. Gautham Menon's 'The Life Of Muthu' came out recently and is getting a lot of appreciation. The film is getting a lot of appreciation in Tamil and it is registering decent numbers in Telugu too. During an interview, the Youtuber who is interviewing Gautham Menon got confused and asked how he managed to bring in stars like Aravind Swamy, Simbu, Arun Vijay and Vijay Sethuapti together. He thought that Gautham Menon was Mani Ratnam and asked about 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' which is dubbed as 'Nawab' in Telugu.

Gautham Menon gave a sarcastic reply that it was easy because Mani Ratnam directed it and not him so the stars report on time. The interviewer is left embarrassed but Gautham did not bash him straightaway. He gave a funny reply instead which is commendable. A lot of netizens who watched the video clip are now trolling the Youtuber for not preparing well before talking to such a big filmmaker.
